Red Boiling Springs historical marker

Red Boiling Springs

In the early 1900s, this town was a flourishing resort because of the many types of mineral water found here. This popular retreat attracted city dwellers and rural families from this region who were accommodated by the many hotels. The town was heavily damaged by floods in June 1969.

This marker is located in the park on Main Street (TN 151) between Armour's Hotel and the Donoho Hotel.  The marker is on the opposite side of Main Street from Armour's.
